Today we will visit the main tourist places in Lisbon, such as Marquês de Pombal Square, Eduardo VII Park, Rossio and Terreiro do Paço. Then, we visit two monuments that mark the period of the Portuguese Discoveries: the Belém Tower and the Jerónimos Monastery. Before ending the tour in Lisbon, we can taste the famous Pastéis de Belém in the pastry shop that has been producing them since 1837. Accommodation in Lisbon.
We continue our tour towards the North. We stop at the village of Óbidos, surrounded by medieval walls and crowned by the Moorish castle. Then we continue to the Monastery of Alcobaça, the first work of Gothic art in Portugal. We continue to Batalha, to visit the Monastery of Batalha, a tribute to the victory in the Battle of Aljubarrota. We end our day with the arrival in Porto. Accommodation in Porto.
After breakfast at the hotel, we take a guided tour of the most typical streets of Porto. We can admire the most emblematic monuments and places in the city, such as the City Hall, the Cathedral, Lello Bookshop, São Bento Train Station, Clérigos Tower, Ribeira Square, and we finish by tasting Port Wine in a famous Wine Cellar in Vila Nova de Gaia. Today we visit the Minho region, considered the greenest in Portugal. We start with the city of Braga. Here we can visit the Cathedral and the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus. Then we continue to Guimarães, known as "Cidade Berço" Cradle of Portugal, or where it was born. We visit the Paço dos Duques, the Guimarães Castle and its Historic Center, considered a World Heritage Site. Accommodation in Porto.
We leave Porto towards the Douro Wine Region. We start by visiting a Wine Estate, followed by a tasting of its wines. After lunch, we will visit another winery, learning more about the region's wine production. The visit ends with a wine tasting. Accommodation in the Douro Wine Region.
On this day, we continue to discover the Douro region. We start with the village of S. João da Pesqueira, with its impressive viewpoint - São Salvador do Mundo. In Foz Côa, we will visit a winery, right in the Archaeological Park of Vale do Côa. Finally, we will visit the Côa Museum. Inside you will have the possibility to observe the rock engravings of the Côa Valley. Accommodation in the Douro Wine Region.
We continue to the city of Coimbra, known as the city of students. Here, we will have the opportunity to visit the University, one of the oldest in Europe, the Library, and the Church of Santa Clara-a-Nova. Then we continue to the city of Tomar. We will visit the famous Convent of Christ, home of the Order of Christ. We end the day with a return to Lisbon. Accommodation in Lisbon.
Today we travel to Sintra, a romantic village, whose unique characteristics made UNESCO classify it as a "Cultural Landscape" World Heritage Site. We visit the National Palace of Sintra, one of the ex-libris of the village, and we will have the opportunity to discover its historic center. Accommodation in Lisbon.
We leave for Évora, a city surrounded by walls and with historical monuments such as the Temple of Diana, the Church of S. Francisco, the Chapel of Bones, and the Cathedral of Évora.
