Itinerary
We set off to the north, stopping first in Óbidos, a village located within medieval walls. Here, we can stroll through its cobbled streets and taste the famous ginjinha. We continue to Alcobaça, then to Nazaré, a fishing village known for its beach and giant waves. Then, we will visit the Batalha Monastery, located in Batalha, ending our day in Fátima, considered one of the most popular Catholic pilgrimage sites in the world. Overnight in Fátima.
We go to Coimbra, known as the "City of Students". We will visit its University, one of the oldest in the world, and the Joanine Library. In the city center, we will have the opportunity to admire the Santa Clara-a-Nova Monastery and the typical ceramic of Coimbra. In the afternoon we will continue to Aveiro, known as the "Venice of Portugal", where we can admire its moliceiro boats, the Art Nouveau buildings and taste the traditional conventional sweet - the soft eggs. We start the day with a visit to the city of Porto, the second largest city in Portugal, and to the most characteristic monuments and places such as the Bolsa Palace, the São Francisco Church, Ribeira Square, Luis I Bridge, among others . We will also visit a famous Port Wine Cellar, with wine tasting. We continue towards the Minho region, until the city of Guimarães, birthplace of Portugal. Here we can admire the Royal Castle and the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança. Then, we visit the city of Braga, with the oldest Cathedral in the country and the famous Bom Jesus Sanctuary. We set off towards Amarante, a small town on the banks of the Tâmega River. We continue to Vila Real, to visit the gardens of the Mateus Palace. Then we continue our route towards the Douro wine region, stopping in Lamego to admire the superb Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios. In Viseu, Dão wine region, we will stop to visit the Cathedral and its historic center. Accommodation in Urgeiriça.
On the last day, we head to Bussaco, where the Bussaco Palace Hotel, former palace of Royal Game, stands out, as well as its unusual vegetation. We continue to Tomar, where we will visit the Christ Convent, a monument declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We ended our day with arrival in Lisbon. End of our services.
