Itinerary
Leaving Ponta Delgada to start this adventure, you will cross the narrower part of the island arriving to the second largest city of São Miguel - Ribeira Grande. The activity starts with the distribution the equipment to participants, followed by a short walk of about 15 minutes, until the entry point, where the safety briefing is held. During the canyon, there is a sequence of 3 vertical obstacles (waterfalls) whose transposition will be made with the technique of abseiling (highest waterfall with 15 meters), alternating with small sections of walking, in an area surrounded by lush vegetation, a natural amphitheater and where we can still admire an old hydroelectric plant.
