Visit on foot to the centre of Ponta Delgada. This wonderful tour combines some off the road routes in both the highlands and flatlands, taking you to the amazing natural reserve of Lagoa do Fogo to enjoy nature at its best. Astonishing views from the top of the crater’s border are a must to photograph! We start our tour with a visit to Gruta do Carvão (Coal Cave). Located on the western side of the city of Ponta Delgada, this lava tunnel currently extends for about 2000 meters, spread over three main cavities and intermediate areas which have already collapsed and blocked the access to the primitive lava tube. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to watch some of the 25 cetacean species that can be found in the Azores. Accommodation in S. Miguel.
 

On this tour , we feel and experience the volcanic origins of the Island in Furnas, a magical place. We start by visiting the Caldeiras da Lagoa das Furnas, a place where we cook the famous “cozido das Furnas” and continue with a soft walk that crosses a stream and circles the lakeside. The Cozido meal is served in a local restaurant. After lunch, we visit the centenary Terra Nostra. At the end of the visit,  you are invited to bathe in an iron-rich hot water swimming pool that has a temperature of 35-40ºC, an exquisite experience. On the way back to Ponta Delgada, we stop at several beautiful viewpoints and also at the only tea plantation in Europe.  Accommodation in S. On this tour, on the way to Sete Cidades, we take several off road tracks which are used by local farmers. These roads pass by several spots, that are only accessible by 4x4 and should not be missed as they offer some outstanding views, that usually are not included in the regular tours.. After lunch, we emerge in a "back to the past" activity. We will bake fresh bread and biscuits, milk a cow, plough the earth and participate in traditional activities and games. This is a fun-filled day that is perfect for anybody wanting to connect with nature and with the island’s local traditions.  Accommodation in S. Miguel.

Enjoy the nature and discover the volcanic complex of Sete Cidades in three different ways: stand up paddle or kayak and bike. Departure from Ponta Delgada to the west side of São Miguel Island. We will take you to the lakeshore of Sete Cidades where we will paddle a kayak in the lake's calm waters. Afterwards, we will ride a bike on the surrounding area so we can enjoy the magic feeling that Nature provides us on this location.Accommodation in S. Miguel.
